Arana Jr. stays No. 1 after Q3 in Virginia

Hector Arana Jr. is still the provisional No. 1 Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier on his EBR after Saturday’s first pass at the NHRA Virginia Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park. He went 6.795 at 198.15 mph.

Arana Jr. will have one more session, along with the rest of Pro Stock Motorcycle, before he is able to claim the top spot for eliminations on Sunday.

Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davison rider Andrew Hines is the provisional No. 2 qualifier in his Street Rod. Hines went 6.833 at 196.24 mph.

Matt Smith is the provisional No. 3 qualifier in his Victory Polar Magnum bike. He went 6.837 at 193.74 mph.

Eddie Krawiec, who is also Hines’ Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson teammate, is the provisional No. 4 qualifier despite not making a pass during the third session on his Street Rod. Krawiec went 6.850 at 195.90 mph in Friday’s session to be in the Top 4.

LE Tonglet, who is also a full-time firefighter in Louisiana, is the provisional No. 5 qualifier with his Suzuki. He went 6.868 at 195.08 mph.
