Advance Auto Parts Funny Car pilot Courtney Force has done a lot of traveling in recent weeks. After attending the Indianapolis 500 with her husband, IndyCar driver Graham Rahal, and the JEGS Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, Ill., Force went back to California, before flying to Nashville, Tenn.

One new opportunity that was presented to her was to attend the Country Music Awards on June 6th in Nashville, before having to travel to Virginia Motorsports Park for the NHRA Virginia Nationals. She was a presenter for the Awards.

“It was a lot of fun,” Courtney Force said in between Saturday qualifying in Virginia. “We went from Chicago back home then over to Nashville. I got to be a presenter for the CMT Awards. We had a lot of fun to be out there. It was coordinated obviously with Advance Auto Parts and Big Machine Records. It was a huge thanks to them to make that opportunity happen. I got to present — introduce really — Sam Hunt before his performance. It’s something that I’ve never done before. I was really excited to be asked to do that. It was a lot of fun.”

While she was at the awards with her husband, she was able to talk to the artists. She even invited one of the members from Florida Georgia Line to experience an NHRA event in person — and they may be attending the Fitzgerald USA NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn. this weekend.

Florida Georgia Line consists of lead vocalist Tyler Hubbard and backing vocalist Brian Kelley. They are apart of Big Machine Records, who helped with Advance Auto Parts, set up this special opportunity for Force.

“I spoke to a few performers,” she said. “I talked to the guy from Florida Georgia Line and I told him it would be awesome to have him out at the Bristol race. He seemed pretty surprised to hear the speeds that we go in our race car. To have a performer so shocked at what we get to do over here is surprising to hear. It was a lot of fun. I got to meet a lot of great people and got to see a lot of great performances.”

While she introduced Hunt, she did not get to meet the singer.
