Two straight, as Rodgers wins back-to-back in Millville

Will Rodgers won the JustDrive.com 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Saturday night at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. This was Rodgers first win of the 2018 season.

He dominated the race, as he led 49 of the 55 laps. He also picked up 48 points in the Kelly & Associates Insurance Group/Kelly Benefit Strategies Ford.

While this was his first win of the 2018 season, it was his fifth appearance, as he has not won in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. In the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East over the last two seasons, he has three wins, including back-to-back wins at Millville.

Ernie Francis Jr., who was the driver of the Pro Gold/VP Parts Warehouse Toyota, finished second. He also picked up 43 points.

Ronnie Bassett Jr. was the third-place finisher in the Bassett Gutters and More Inc. Chevrolet. For the third-place finish, he received 41 points.

Of the 16-car field, only 10 were able to finish. Eleventh-place finisher Tyler Dippel, the driver of the TyCar Trenchless Tech/D&A Concrete Toyota crashed and left the race on lap 54 and finished in the 11th-position.

David Levine, who was the driver of the Berkshire/Hesselbach Chevrolet, left the race on lap 47 after dealing with a fuel pump problem, while finishing in the 12th-position. Dale Quarterley, who was driving the Van Dyk Recycling Solutions Chevrolet, had a rear end problem and exited on lap 43 for a 13th-place finish.

Chase Cabre, who was driving the E3 Spark Plugs Toyota, had a track bar problem and also left on Lap 43 for the 14th-place finish. Dillon Bassett, the driver of the Bassett Gutters and More Inc. Chevrolet, finished 15th after leaving the race with a rear axle problem on lap 39.

Bill Hoff did not complete a lap in his Hoff Racing Chevrolet, as he had mechanical problems.
