Grizzlies add Omri Casspi

The Memphis Grizzlies signed free agent forward Omri Casspi. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

He is the second player to sign with the Grizzlies since the start of free agency. The team announced a four-year agreement with forward Kyle Anderson, who the San Antonio Spurs refused to match his offer sheet.

The 30-year-old will be joining his seventh NBA team. He spent last season with the Golden State Warriors, where he was a member of their NBA Finals Championship team.

He appeared in 53 games with the Warriors, where he averaged 5.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game.

That was the first season he spent a full season with a team since the 2015-16 season when he appeared in 69 games with the Sacramento Kings. During the 2016-17 season, he split time with the Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He appeared in 36 games, including two starts, with the three teams in 2016-17. He averaged 5.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game.

He spent 4 1/2 seasons with the Kings. He also spent two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, while also spending one season with the Houston Rockets. He played a combined 14 games with the Pelicans and the Timberwolves.

In his career, he has appeared in 552 games, including 145 games. He has a career average of 8.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.2 blocks.
