Gibson signs new deal with the Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed goaltender John Gibson, as they looked him up for nearly the next decade. Gibson signed an eight-year extension with the team on Saturday.
Gibson’s previous deal was expiring at the end of this upcoming season. His new deal will average $6.4 million per season. He’s set to make $2.3 million this season.

The 25-year-old Gibson went 31-18-7 last season. He also had a 2.43 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.
