Capps gets 60th career FC win over Force

Force, in her runner-up pass, went 4.115 at 255.63 mph.

This is Capps 60th career win. It’s his second win in 2018, as he previously won in June in Bristol, Tennessee.

Capps improved to 60-57 in final rounds in his career. He also has one win and one loss in Top Fuel.

Force fell to 12-17 in final rounds in her career. She has four wins this season with the last being in the re-booted Virginia NHRA Nationals in June.

Capps has an 18-8 advantage over Force in prior events. He also improved to 3-1 against Force in final rounds.

She had an 0.006 stsrtingvline advantage. Force also had the lead through the 660-foot mark.

The young Advance Auto Parts driver then began to run into engine problems, as Capps flew by in his Pennzoil Funny Car. He won by 0.072 seconds, or approx. 29 feet.
