Philadelphia Soul wide receiver Darius Prince has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles were one of three teams, who recently worked out Prince.

All three of the teams were impressed with his talent. He is the second wide receiver to sign with the Eagles, as Anthony “Tiger” Jones signed with the team in 2012.

Jones was just a camp body for the team, before being released. Prince will have to impress the team even more with just two weeks left before the regular season begins.

Prince signed with the Soul before last season’s ArenaBowl in Philadelphia. In that one game, he was named the ArenaBowl MVP after spending the first part of last season with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks.

He spent the entire season with the Soul this season. He had 89 receptions for 1,076 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Prince led the team in receiving statistics as Darius Reynolds had 52 receptions for 754 yards and 13 touchdowns. Aaron Wascha, who joined the team for his first full season in the AFL, had 49 receptions for 668 yards and 21 touchdowns.

He joins the Eagles depth chart that already includes Alshon Jeffery, Markus Wheaton, Nelson Agholor, Mike Wallace, Greg Ward, and Mack Hollins.

Zach Ertz led the Eagles in receiving yards last season, as he had 74 receptions for 824 yards and eight touchdowns. Jeffery was the highest wide receiver, as he had 57 receptions for 789 yards and nine touchdowns.
