The Philadelphia Eagles have added linebacker Jaboree Williams. He is expected to join the team on Sunday morning.
Williams will practice with his new teammates, as they practice for the first-time since losing to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. The Browns won 5-0 in their third preseason game.
An opening was made after the team released undrafted free agent Stephen Roberts, who was released on Saturday. Williams, like Roberts, is a rookie.
Williams previously attended the Eagles’ Rookie Camp tryout in the spring.
As a senior in 2017, he had 85 tackles, including 13.0 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks in 13 games. He also had two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and three pass deflections.
In 2016, during his junior season, he had 36 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for a loss, and 2.0 sacks in nine games.
In his Wake Forest Demon Deacons career, he had 141 tackles, including 19.5 tackles for a loss in 36 games. He also had 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and four pass deflections.
