Funny Car has completed its second round of eliminations at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana. These eight drivers are competing for the prestigious U.S. Nationals Wally.
Matt Hagan defeated points leader Courtney Force in the second round. Hagan. This is the first-time he has advanced to the Semifinals since winning the New England Nationals.
Shawn Langdon in his Tom “Moongoose” McEwen tribute car defeated Bob Bode. Langdon’s Kalitta Motorsports teammate J.R. Todd defeated Robert Hight.
Todd has now won six straight rounds at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals. He won the Funny Car Wally last year.
Tommy Johnson Jr. ended Tim Wilkerson’s day. Wilk, despite the second round loss, still clinched a spot in the Countdown to the Championship.
