Belichick gets 251st win as Patriots beat Texans

The New England Patriots continued its win streak over the Houston Texans. In fact, they have never lost to the Texas at home.

The Patriots won 27-20 over the Texas at Gillette Stadium on Sunday in Foxborough, Mass.

With the win, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick surpassed Tom Landry for sole possession for third-most in regular-season wins, according to the Patriots. Belichick now has 251 regular season wins, while Landry had 250.

The Patriots are now 5-0 against the Texans at home. New England is also 5-0 against the Baltimore Ravens, 4-0 against the Chicago Bears, and 4-0 against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium.

The McCourty brothers became the first twins to play on the same team since 1926. Gene and Tom Golsen played for the Louisville Colonels.

Shaquill and Shaquem also became the second pair this season to do it with the Seattle Seahawks.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went 26 of 39 for 277 yards. He also had three touchdowns and an interception.

Brady has now won his 13th kickoff weekend game. That’s tied for the most all-time in NFL history

Rex Burkhead had 18 carries for 64 yards. Jeremy Hill had four carries for 25 yards.

Rob Gronkowski had seven receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown. Phillip Dorsett had seven receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. James White had four receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson went 17 of 34 for 176 yards. He also had a touchdown and an interception.

Lamar Miller had 20 carries for 98 yards. Watson also had eight carries for 40 yards. Alfred Blue had five carries for 36 yards and a touchdown.

DeAndre Hopkins had eight receptions for 78 yards. Bruce Ellington had four receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Thomas had a 27-yard reception.

In the second half, it was all field goals for the Patriots. Stephen Gostkowski made two field goals.

Blue scored on a one-yard touchdown for the Texans. Ellington also caught a five-yard touchdown reception from Watson, as well.

The Patriots lead 21-6 at halftime. Brady hit Dorsett for a four-yard touchdown. Brady also hit Gronkowski for a 21-yard touchdown.

White also caught a 12-yard touchdown from Brady.

Texans had two field goals from Ka’imi Fairbairn.
