Preview: UFC 229’s Evinger vs. Ladd

Aspen Ladd and Tonya Evinger face each other in a women’s bantamweight bout at UFC 229. The fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

Ladd is fighting for the first-time in nearly one calendar year. Evinger has not fought in one year and several months.

The 23-year-old Ladd is perfect in her MMA career with a 6-0 mark. The Folsom, California native is looking for her second straight win in the UFC.

The 5-foot-6, 135-pounder has four wins via knockout. She also has a submission and decision win.

She defeated Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 118 via TKO (Punches) in the second-round at the 2:33 mark on October 21st, 2017.

The 37-year-old Evinger is 19-6-1 in her MMA career. The Odessa, Missouri native has won eight of her fights by knockout or technical knockout. She also won seven by submission and four more by decision.

Four of her six losses have come via submission. She also lost one fight by knockout and another fight by decision.

The 5-foot-7, 135-pounder lost her last bout. She was defeated by Cristiane (Cris Cyborg) Justino at UFC 214 on July 29th, 2017. She lost via TKO (Knees) in the third-round at the 1:56 mark.

She has not won a fight since defeating Yana Kunitskaya on March 25th, 2017 at Invicta FC 22. She won via submission (rear-naked choke) in the second-round at the 4:32 mark.

Evinger is looking for her first win in the UFC.
