The Philadelphia Eagles have ended their two-game skid. They defeated the New York Giants, 34-13, at MetLife Stadium on Thursday Night Football.
The Eagles improved to 3-3 on the season. This is their first win since defeating the Indianapolis Colts 20-16 on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018.
They were defeated by the Tennessee Titans and the Minnesota Vikings during their two-game losing streak.
The Giants fell to 1-5 on the season. They are now on a three-game losing streak.
Besides losing to the Eagles, they also were defeated by the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers.
Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz went 26 of 36 for 278 yards. He also had three touchdowns.
Wendell Smallwood had 18 carries for 51 yards. Corey Clement had 11 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown.
Nelson Agholor had three receptions for 91 yards. Alshon Jeffery had eight receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Zach Ertz had seven receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Matthews had two receptions for 26 yards. Clement had three receptions for 26 yards.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning went 24 of 43 for 281 yards. He also had an interception.
Saquon Barkley had 13 carries for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Barkley had nine receptions for 99 yards. Cody Latimer had three receptions for 52 yards. Odell Beckham Jr. had six receptions for 44 yards. Sterling Shepard had three receptions for 37 yards. Wayne Gallman had two receptions for 25 yards.
Barkley was just one yard shy of being the first Giants player ever from having a 100 rushing yards and a 100 receiving yards in the same contest.
Philadelphia scored 10 points in the second half. New York had just a touchdown.
Wentz hit Jeffery for a one-yard touchdown reception. Elliott also made a 30-yard field goal.
Barkley, the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, also scored on a 50-yard rushing touchdown.
The Eagles led 24-6 at halftime. Wentz hit Jeffery for a 13-yard touchdown reception. Clement scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.
Wentz hit Ertz for a 10-yard touchdown reception. Jake Elliott also made a 33-yard field goal.
Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas also made two field goals.
