Harley-Davidson bikes go 1-2-3 on Friday at the NHRA Carolina Nationals

Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Eddie Krawiec is the provisional No. 1 qualifier on Friday at the NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by WIX Filters at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. He was able to secure the top spot during his second pass.

The Danville, Indiana native went 6.806 at 197.83 mph during his second pass. He is looking for his third No. 1 qualifier of the season.

If he is able to secure his third No. 1 qualifier of the season, it’ll be his 42nd No. 1 qualifier of his career.

“It was a good lap and a good run for the session,” said Krawiec. “Going into [Saturday], potentially cooler weather, earlier run, things like that, it could mean that run isn’t going to stand like that as No. 1 qualifier. You look at five or six motorcycles that could definitely take the pole from me at any given time.”

The Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley Davidson Pro Stock Motorcycles are 1-2-3. His teammate, Chip Ellis, is the provisional No. 2 qualifier, as the China Grove, North Carolina native went 6.830 at 195.22 mph.

The third teammate, Andrew Hines, is the provisional No. 3 qualifier, as the Brownsburg, Indiana native went 6.842 at 196.64 mph.

Lucas Oil TV EBR rider Hector Arana Jr. is the provisional No. 4 qualifier. The Milltown, Indiana native went 6.849 at 199.29 mph.

White Alligator Racing/Savoie’s Alligator Farm Suzuki rider Jerry Savoie — who will be leaving his full-time ride following the season — is the provisional No. 5 qualifier. The Cut Off, Louisiana native went 6.854 at 194.86 mph.

Presently, there are several bikes, who are not qualified for the show on Sunday. Joey Gladstone, the Milton, Delaware native, is presently qualified at No. 17 after going 6.994 at 193.54 on his Yellow Corn bike for Team Liberty Racing.

The Suzuki Extended Protection bike rider Jimmy Underdahl is presently the No. 18 qualifier. The North Branch, Minnesota native went 7.008 at 190.92 mph.

The Lucas Oil/Spillvak bike rider Anthony Vanetti is presently 19th. The Elk Grove, California went 7.101 at 187.94 mph.

Maurice Allen is presently in the No. 20 spot. Allen, who is affiliated with Underdahl Racing/Stoffer Enterprises Inc, went 7.110 at 188.04 mph.

The Slick 50 Suzuki bike rider Steve Johnson is presently in the 21st spot. The Birmingham, Alabama native went 8.024 at 121.08 mph.

The Denso Racing bike rider Angie Smith is presently 22nd. The King, North Carolina native did not record a time or speed.
