Huntley accounts for 3 TD’s in Utes win over Wildcats

The Utah Utes dominated the Arizona Wildcats on Friday night. The Utes won 42-10 over the Wildcats at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Utes improved to 4-2 on the season. They are now 2-2 within conference play. Utah has now won back-to-back games, including a win over No. 14 Stanford Cardinal, 40-21.

The Wildcats has now fallen to 3-4 on the season. They also now have a 2-2 mark in conference play. Arizona is now on a one-game losing streak as they defeated the California Bears 24-17 in their last game.

Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley went 14 of 19 for 201 yards. He also had two touchdowns and an interception.

Backup quarterback Britain Covey went 2 of 2 for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Zack Moss had 15 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown. Huntley had 11 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown. Armand Shyne had eight carries for 53 yards and a touchdown. Mitch Wishnowsky also had a 28-yard rush.

Demari Simpkins had three receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. Huntley had a 58-yard touchdown reception. Covey had six receptions for 51 yards. Jaylen Dixon had two receptions for 42 yards. Samson Nacua had two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Wildcats quarterback Rhett Rodriguez went 20 of 38 for 226 yards. He also had a touchdown.

J.J. Taylor had 14 carries for 63 yards. Gary Brightwell had seven carries for 19 yards.

Cedric Peterson had four receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Devaughn Cooper had four receptions for 57 yards. Shun Brown had eight receptions for 43 yards. Shawn Poindexter had three receptions for 39 yards. Stanley Berryhill III had three receptions for 30 yards.

Utah scored 14 points in the second half. The Wildcats scored just 10 points.

Utes’ Covey hit Huntley for a 58-yard touchdown reception. Armand Shyne scored on a 22-yard rushing touchdown.

Wildcats’ Rodriguez hit Peterson for a 42-yard touchdown reception. Josh Pollack also made a 37-yard field goal.

The Utes led 28-0 at halftime. Huntley hit Nacua for an eight-yard touchdown reception. Moss also scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Huntley also hit Simpkins for a 68-yard touchdown reception. Huntley also had a three-yard rushing touchdown.
