Patriots restructure Gilmore’s contract

The New England Patriots recently restructured cornerback Stephen Gilmore’s contract. The team will now have an additional $3.7 million in cap space this season.

Gilmore was due to make $9 million this season. He had a base salary of $3.55 million, according to Spotrac.

He also had a signing bonus of $3.6 million this season. Gilmore had a roster bonus of $406,250.

Spotrac has a restructure of $1.2 million.

This season he had a cap hit of $8,793 million.

According to Tom Pelissero, Gilmore’s future years are untouched. He signed a five-year, $65 million deal with the Patriots prior to the 2017 season.
