Sooners rebounds after loss, as TCU loses its second straight home game

The No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners dominated the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday afternoon. The Sooners won 52-27 at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Sooners improved to 6-1 on the season. They also improved to 3-1 in conference play.

Oklahoma is now on a one-game win streak after being defeated by the No. 19 Texas Longhorns in the Red River Showdown earlier this month.

The Horned Frogs are 3-4 on the season. They are now 1-3 within conference play.

TCU has now lost two straight games, as they also suffered a loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders in their last game.

Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray went 19 of 24 for 213 yards. He also had four touchdowns.

Kennedy Brooks had 18 carries for 168 yards and a touchdown. Trey Sermon had 17 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Murray also had nine carries for 51 yards.

CeeDee Lamb had five receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. Marquise Brown had five receptions for 41 yards. Lee Morris had two receptions for 36 yards and two touchdowns. Grant Calcaterra had three receptions for 20 yards. Carson Meier had two receptions for 17 yards and a touchdown.

Horned Frogs quarterback Michael Collins went 7 of 17 for 142 yards. He also had two touchdowns and an interception.

Collins had seven carries for 36 yards. Sewo Olonilua had 11 carries for 34 yards. Darius Anderson had six carries for 32 yards.

KaVontae Turpin had five receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown. John Stephens Jr. had a 47-yard reception. Jalen Reagor had a 33-yard touchdown reception.

The Sooners scored 24 points in the second half. They outscored TCU in the second half, 24-3.

Murray hit Morris for a 27-yard touchdown reception. Murray also hit Meier for a one-yard touchdown reception.

Sermon scored on a 33-yard rushing touchdown. Austin Seibert also made a 37-yard field goal.

Bunce also made a 41-yard field goal for the Horned Frogs.

Oklahoma led 28-24 at halftime. Murray hit Lamb for a 37-yard touchdown. Sermon also scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown.

Brooks scored on a 21-yard rushing touchdown. Murray also hit Morris for a nine-yard touchdown reception.

TCU’s Turpin scored on a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. He also caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from Collins.

Collins also hit Reagor for a 33-yard touchdown reception. Cole Bunce also made a 41-yard field goal.
