No. 2 Tigers dismantle Seminoles

The No. 2 Clemson Tigers dominated the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday. The Tigers won 59-10 over the Seminoles at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Tigers improved to 8-0 on the season. They are now 5-0 within conference play.

Clemson has not lost a game since losing to No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the College Football Playoff.

The Seminoles fell to 4-4 on the season. They are also now 2-4 within conference play.

They are now on a one-game losing streak after having their one-game win streak snapped. They defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in their previous game.

This was also Florida State’s worst home loss in program history.

Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 20 of 37 for 314 yards. He also had four touchdowns.

Backup Chase Brice went 4 of 7 for 90 yards. He also had one touchdown and one interception.

Travis Etienne had 10 carries for 45 yards. Adam Choice had three carries for 20 yards and a touchdown. Garrett Williams had a two-yard rushing touchdown. Defensive lineman Christian Wilkins had a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Amari Rodgers had six receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Diondre Overton had two receptions for 75 yards. Tee Higgins had six receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Justyn Ross had a 41-yard reception. Hunter Renfrow had four receptions for 28 yards. T.J. Chase had a five-yard touchdown reception.

Seminoles quarterback Deondre Francios went 17 of 36 for 180 yards. He also had an interception.

Backup James Blackman went 3 of 4 for 88 yards. He also had a touchdown.

Jacques Patrick had seven carries for 17 yards.

Keyshawn Helton had three receptions for 100 yards and a reception. Tamorrion Terry had four receptions for 55 yards. Nyqwan Murray had five receptions for 49 yards. Gabe Nabers had two receptions for 37 yards.

Clemson scored 31 second-half points. Lawrence hit Rodgers for a 58-yard touchdown reception. Lawrence connected with Rodgers again for a 68-yard touchdown reception.

Brice hit Chase for a 5-yard touchdown reception. Choice also scored on a 15-yard rushing touchdown.

B.T. Potter also made a 24-yard field goal.

Florida State scored 10 second-half points. Blackman hit Helton for a 73-yard touchdown reception.

Ricky Aguayo also made a 35-yard field goal.

The Tigers led 28-0 at halftime. Lawrence hit Higgins for a seven-yard touchdown reception. Lawrence also hit Higgins for a three-yard touchdown reception.

Wilkins had a one-yard rushing touchdown. Williams had a two-yard touchdown reception.
