Great Clips/Parts Plus Top Fuel Dragster pilot Clay Millican is the No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. Millican picked up his 10th No. 1 qualifier of the season.
In addition, this is his third No. 1 qualifier in the past five seasons. He went 3.699 at 327.82 mph during Friday night’s pass.
“This team is incredible,” Millican said. “This is something I would have never dreamed of. So proud of what this team has done all season long. It is amazing.”
The Drummonds, Tennessee native will face Greg Carrillo in the first-round of eliminations on Sunday. The Glendale, Arizona native went 3.939 at 305.98 mph.
Capco Contractors Top Fuel Dragster pilot Steve Torrence — who has won the first four races in the Countdown to the Championship — is the No. 2 qualifier. The Kilgore, Texas native went 3.702 at 333.33 mph.
He’ll face Shawn Reed in the first-round of eliminations on Sunday. The Lake Tapps, Washington native went 3.876 at 295.34 mph.
Reigning Top Fuel Dragster pilot Brittany Force is the No. 3 qualifier. The Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster pilot went 3.723 at 330.88 mph.
The Yorba Linda, California native will face Mike Salinas in the first-round of eliminations. The San Jose, California native went 3.824 at 280.72 mph.
Pennzoil Top Fuel Dragster pilot Leah Pritchett is the No. 4 qualifier. The Avon, Indiana native went 3.731 at 322.65 mph.
Pritchett will face Troy Buff in the first-round of eliminations. The Spring, Texas native went 3.804 at 308.57 mph.
Matco Tools Maximus 3.0/U.S. Army Top Fuel Dragster pilot Antron Brown is the No. 5 qualifier. The Pittsboro, Indiana native went 3.741 at 322.88 mph.
Brown will face Blake Alexander in the first-round of eliminations. The Charlotte, North Carolina native, who is driving for Bob Vandergriff Racing, went 3.800 at 321.12 mph.
