Editor’s Note: Derrick Rose scored a career-high 50 points in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the Utah Jazz. Before his 50-point performance, he had two games where he scored 42 points. We’ll look at his last game against the Indiana Pacers in which he scored 42 points first.
The Indiana Pacers defeated the Chicago Bulls on March 18th, 2011. The Pacers won 115-108 over the Bulls at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
With the win, the Pacers improved to 30-39. The Bulls fell to 49-19.
Tyler Hansbrough led the Pacers with 29 points. He also had 12 rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

Hansbrough was one of four Indiana players, who scored in double-figures. Danny Granger also added 19 points, while Darren Collison had 17 points. Roy Hibbert also had 15 points.
The Pacers had 29 bench points. Josh McRoberts and A.J. Price had eight points each.
McRoberts also had five rebounds and one assist. Price had one assist and one steal.
Rose led the Bulls with 42 points. He also had four rebounds, two assists, and one block.
This 42-point effort is the second 40-point performance for Rose this season. He also scored 42 points against the San Antonio Spurs on February 17th, 2011 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
He was one of three Chicago players, who scored in double-figures. Luol Deng had 21 points and Joakim Noah also added 17 points.

The Bulls had 25 bench points. Taj Gibson led the bench with eight points. He also had 16 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block.
