According to MLB.com’s Jon Paul Morosi, the Chicago White Sox are interested in Manny Machado and Bryce Harper this winter. The dynamic duo is coveted by many teams, as the free agents are seeking a high price tag.
While the White Sox are interested, the most speculation around these two has been with the Philadelphia Phillies. They are expected to be active on one or possibly both players.
The White Sox could also spend a lot of money this winter to acquire one of these marquee players. At this time, it is too early to speculate a landing spot for these two players yet despite free agency starting already.

Chicago has been interested in Machado since the last off-season. The Phillies also expressed interest in Machado, as their interest dates back to his time with the Baltimore Orioles.
They were also in the mix for Machado before he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in July.
The 26-year-old Hialeah, Florida native split this season between the Orioles and the Dodgers. With the Orioles, he had a .315 batting average with 24 home runs and 65 RBIs in 96 games.
After being acquired by the Dodgers, he had a .273 batting average with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs in 66 games.
The 26-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native — who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft — spent his entire career with the Washington Nationals. He had a .249 batting average with 34 home runs and 100 RBIs in 159 games.

The 100 RBIs were a career-high for Harper. The 34 home runs were the second-most in a season, as he had 42 home runs during the 2015 season.
