Mopar Dodge Top Fuel Dragster pilot Leah Pritchett is the No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, California. Pritchett was the leader after all four qualifying sessions in the season-ending race.

The Avon, Indiana native — who was born in Redlands, California — went 3.631 at 332.84 mph in her final pass to receive the No. 1 qualifier. This is her fourth No. 1 qualifier of the season.

In addition, this is her 11th No. 1 qualifier of her career.

“The car is finally communicating in a proper way,” Pritchett said. “We found out our window is a lot bigger for making these fast passes. I’m most excited for Todd Okuhara (crew chief) because he finally has his race car back. For the history that has been laid on this track and for us to chase putting down our own history makes me feel like our team is on our way.”

Pritchett will face No. 16 qualifier Bill Litton on Sunday. Litton went 3.985 at 270.43 mph.

Capco Contractors Top Fuel Dragster pilot Steve Torrence — who secured the Top Fuel Championship in Las Vegas two weeks ago — is the No. 2 qualifier. The Kilgore, Texas native went 3.661 at 330.96 mph.

She’ll face Shawn Reed on Sunday. He went 3.807 at 323.12 mph.

Great Clips/Parts Plus Top Fuel Dragster pilot Clay Millican was the No. 4 qualifier. The Drummonds, Tennessee native went 3.681 at 325.41 mph.
