Greenville’s Jeremiah Williams taken off of ventilator, dies

High School football player Jeremiah Williams has died days after breaking his neck in a football game. He was injured when he attempted to tackle a player during the Nov. 2nd contest, according to WJTV.
Williams, who was a defensive back, broke his C1 and C4 vertebrae in his beck when he attempted to make the tackle. The Greenville High School Hornets player was then transported to a local hospital.
After nearly a week in the hospital, he was then taken off of the ventilator. He died a short-time later, according to WAPT.
