Bobcats blew out Bulls for first conference loss

The Ohio Bobcats defeated the Buffalo Bulls on Wednesday night. The Bobcats won 52-17 over the Bulls at Peden Stadium in Athens, Ohio.

The Bobcats improved to 7-4 on the season. They improved to 5-2 in the MAC East Division.

Ohio is now on a one-game win streak after losing to Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in its last game.

The Bulls fell to 9-2 on the season. This was their first conference loss, as they fell to 6-2 in conference play.

Buffalo lost for the first-time in six games. This was their first loss since losing 42-13 to the Army Black Knights on September 29, 2018.

Bobcats quarterback Nathan Rourke went 17 of 26 for 209 yards. He also had three touchdowns and an interception.

A.J. Ouellette had 26 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Maleek Irons had 12 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown. Rourke had seven carries for 77 yards and a touchdown. Quinton Maxwell had four carries for 45 yards.

Papi White had eight receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jerome Buckner had a 60-yard touchdown reception. Andrew Meyer had four receptions for 41 yards. Ouellette had two receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Bulls quarterback Tyree Jackson went 9 of 21 for 116 yards. He also had two interceptions.

Backup Dominic Johnson went 1 of 2 for four yards and an interception.

Jackson had three carries for 70 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Marks had nine carries for 54 yards and a touchdown. Jaret Patterson had eight carries for 23 yards.

Anthony Johnson had six receptions for 95 yards. Charlie Jones had two receptions for 16 yards.

Ohio scored 21 second-half points. Rourke hit Ouellette for an eight-yard touchdown reception. Rourke also hit White for a 27-yard touchdown reception.

Ouellette also scored on a 33-yard rushing touchdown.

Buffalo scored seven second-half points. Marks scored on a 13-yard rushing touchdown.

The Bobcats led 31-10 at halftime. Irons scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown. Rourke also scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown.

Rourke hit Buckner for a 60-yard touchdown reception. Ouellette also scored on an eight-yard rushing touchdown.

Louie Zervos also made a 22-yard field goal.

Bulls’ Jackson scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown. Adam Mitcheson also made a 40-yard field goal.
