Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson was injured on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys. He was injured late in the first quarter.
Peterson was injured on a running play. After getting hurt, he went into the locker room.
According to NFL.com, Peterson injured his shoulder.
He previously dislocated this same shoulder earlier this season. This injury was the reason why he was questionable to play in the game.
Peterson initially injured his shoulder against the New Orleans Saints in October. Against the Saints, he had four carries for six yards. It was his worst performance of the season.
Coming into the game, he had 171 carries for 723 yards. He also had six touchdowns. He had two touchdowns in his last game against the Houston Texas, as he had 16 carries and 51 yards.
His best game of the season came against the New York Giants in Week 8. He had 26 carries for 149 yards and a touchdown. This was only one of two games in which he rushed for more than 100 yards, as he also had 19 carries for 120 yards in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers with two touchdowns.
