The No. 11 Florida Gators dismantled the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday. The Gators won 41-14 over the Seminoles at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
The Gators improved to 9-3 on the season. They are now 4-0 on the road.
Florida has now won three straight games. They also have a shot at making it to a New Year’s Six Game.
The Gators also snapped a five-game losing streak against their arch rivals.
The Florida State Seminoles fell to 5-7 on the season. They fell to 4-3 at home.
This loss also snapped their 36-year Bowl win streak, dating back to the 1981 season. The Seminoles also suffered its first losing season since 1976.
Gators quarterback Feleipe Franks went 16 of 26 for 254 yards. He also had three touchdowns.
Lamical Perine had 13 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Scarlett had 20 carries for 88 yards and a touchdown. Franks had 12 carries for 46 yards.
Trevon Grimes had five receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown. Van Jefferson had four receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Josh Hammond also had two receptions for 12 yards and a touchdown.
Seminoles quarterback Deondre Francois went 14 of 29 for 154 yards. He also had one touchdown and two interceptions.
Jacques Patrick had 10 carries for 52 yards. Francois had 11 carries for 41 yards. Cam Akers had 13 carries for 37 yards.
Tamorrion Terry had three receptions for 78 yards. Nyqwan Murray had three receptions for 35 yards. Akers had a 15-yard touchdown reception.
Florida scored 28 points in the second half. Franks hit Hammond for a three-yard touchdown reception. Franks also hit Grimes for a 22-yard touchdown reception.
Franks hit Jefferson for a 38-yard touchdown reception. Scarlett also scored on a nine-yard rushing touchdown.
Florida State scored seven points in the second half. Francois scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown.
The Gators led 13-7 at halftime. Perine scored on a 74 yard rushing touchdown. Evan McPherson also made two field goals.
Seminoles’ Francois hit Akers for a 15-yard touchdown reception.
