The Kansas City Chiefs have released running back Kareem Hunt on Friday night. His release comes hours after TMZ Sports released a video from a February 2018 incident.
“Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt,” the Chiefs said in a statement. “At the time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him.

“Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.”

In the video, which was obtained by TMZ Sports, he was seen arguing with a woman. This incident was previously reported by multiple news outlets; however, this is the first time the video has come into play.
The incident happened at 3:22 am on February 10th, 2018. It happened outside of a room at The Metropolitan.
As he turned the corner, he confronted the woman. He also shoved her. She then strikes him in the face.
That’s when Hunt lost it. He goes berserk as his friend attempts to hold him back before the friend crashes into the woman after he is not able to control Hunt. The friend and woman then hit the wall.
When the woman was on the ground after being dazed from hitting the wall, she was kicked by Hunt.
No arrests were made in the case after the police were called. However, the video in question, along with other evidence, was sent to the prosecutors.
