Albion College Britons have hired Mark Sheridan as the team’s defensive coordinator. He returns to his alma mater under new head coach Dustin Beurer.
He spent this past season as the outside linebackers coach with the Central Arkansas Bears.
Prior to joining Central Arkansas, he was a defensive graduate assistant, while coaching the defensive backs at the University of Arkansas in 2016 and 2017.
He also was a graduate assistant, while coaching the defensive backs at the Purdue University from 2015 through 2016. He also coached the defensive backs at Albion in 2014.
Sheridan was a four-year letterman at Albion from 2010 through 2013. He also was a member of the Britons Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Conference Championship teams.
He also served the 2013 season as a team captain.
Besides hiring Sheridan, Beurer also promoted Stephen Wasil as offensive coordinator. He was previously the team’s quarterbacks coach.
