McMahon announces XFL 2020 cities

On Wednesday, XFL owner Vince McMahon announces the eight cities they will be part of his football league in 2020. McMahon made the announcement at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

McMahon made news in January that he would bring back the XFL. This is his second attempt at processional football, as his previous attempt ended after one season in 2001.

This league has been funded by McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment company. He sold a $100 million in WWE stock to start Alpha Entertainment.

McMahon insists this league will focus on technology, innovation, brevity, fan engagement, and player safety. Oliver Luck was named the league’s Commissioner and CEO in June.

McMahon and Luck announces the eight cities. One of the teams will be located in the New York Metropolitan area at MetLife Stadium.

This facility is the home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets. The Stadium has a capacity of 82,500.

Dallas, Texas is also receiving a team. They will play at Global Life Park.

This facility is the home of the Texas Rangers. It has a capacity of 52,419.

There will be a second team in Texas, as this team will be located in Houston, Texas. This team will play at the TDECU Stadium.

This Stadium is the home of the Houston Cougars in College Football. It has a capacity of 40,000.

Los Angeles, California is receiving another professional football team after having no team for years. This team will play at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

This facility is the home of the Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer. In addition, it is also the home of the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL. It has a capacity of 27,000.

As we reported last week, the XFL will have a team in St. Louis, Missouri. This will be the first professional football team in the city since the Rams left for Los Angeles.

They will play at The Dome at America’s Center. It has a capacity of 66,965.

Great Northwest will have a team. The franchise will play at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.

This news comes one day after the City was announced as an NHL expansion team. The new XFL team will play at the home of the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL.

This facility has a capacity of 72,000.

Florida will have a team located in Tampa, Florida. The team will play in Raymond James Stadium.

This facility is the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL and the USF Bulls in College Football. It has a capacity of 65,890.

A team will also be located in Washington, D.C. This franchise will play at Audi Field.

This stadium is the new home of the D.C. United. Audi Field was first used as a facility this summer after being built. It has a capacity of 20,000.

Audi Field has the smallest capacity of all the locations.
