The Oakland Athletics have signed free agent Mike Fiers. According to MLB.com’s Jon Paul Morosi, he will receive $14-15 million.
The Associated Press is reporting he is slated to make $6 million in 2019. Plus, another $8.1 million in 2020.
The 33-year-old Hollywood, Florida native returns to the Athletics with this move. He was traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Athletics on August 6th.

The Athletics sent prospect Nolan Blackwood to the Tigers on August 18th. Then, on September 19th, prospect Logan Shore was also sent to the Tigers.
Fiers was then granted free agency on November 30th. With the Athletics, he went 5-2 with a 3.74 ERA, including nine starts and 10 appearances.
He allowed 22 runs (22 earned runs), including 12 home runs on 45 hits in 53 innings. He also struck out 52 batters and walked 11.
Before his trade to the Athletics, he went 7-6 with a 3.48 ERA in 21 starts with the Tigers. He allowed 49 runs (46 earned runs), including 20 home runs pm 121 hits in 119 innings.
Fiers also struck out 87 and walked 26.
He has played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, Tigers, and Athletics in his career. He won the World Series with the Astros.
He is 54-55 with a 4.04 ERA in 172 games, including 153 starts, in 898 innings.
