The Arizona Cardinals are expected to target Mike McCarthy to be the team’s next head coach. He is going to have his fair share of potential interviews to become an NFL head coach once again.
The Green Bay Packers fired McCarthy on December 2nd. He was fired after the Packers lost 20-17 to the Cardinals following 13 seasons with the team.

The Cardinals are expected to fire head coach Steve Wilks following the season. Wilks will last one season with the team following a disastrous season.
Since becoming the Arizona Cardinals prior to the 1994 season, Wilks would be the first head coach, who was fired after one season. Buddy Ryan has the shortest tenure so far with 32 games in 1994 and 1995.
He also would be the first head coach since 1952, who lasted just one season as head coach after being hired. Joe Kuharich went 4-8 in 12 games.
McCarthy went 125-77-2 as the Packers head coach. He was fired following a 4-7-1 record.
He is also expected to garner interest from the New York Jets. They are expected to fire head coach Todd Bowles following the season.
Besides the Cardinals and the Jets, there are expected to be several more changes in the NFL, including one with the Denver Broncos. McCarthy is expected to be considered for all the positions that open up.
