The Philadelphia Eagles received an early Christmas present. Injured wide receiver Mike Wallace has been activated from the injured list.
He may have a limited role in the Eagles regular season finale on Sunday. The Eagles close out the season with the Washington Redskins.
Despite being on a limited role, he will attempt to help the Eagles make the playoffs. Philadelphia has to win their game and get a little help with a loss by the Minnesota Vikings to get in.
Wallace has missed much of the season. He suffered a broken leg in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Eagles were expected on a lot from Wallace. He was expected to be a deep threat for the franchise.
In addition, his play was supposed to help with the team’s spacing as Carson Wentz or Nick Foles looked for open receivers. His signing was also supposed to help the separation-challenge Alshon Jeffery, as well.
Wallace signed a one-year deal with the team in the offseason. However, he has not registered any offensive statistics.
In the season-opener against the Atlanta Falcons and the Buccaneers, he was targeted three times.
