Raiders defeat Broncos on Christmas Eve in Oakland

The Oakland Raiders defeated the Denver Broncos on Christmas Eve. The Raiders won 27-14 over the Raiders at Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California.

This game could be the team’s final one in the Oakland Coliseum. Following the conclusion of the game, Derek Carr and Head Coach Jon Gruden greeted the fans.

The Raiders do not have a lease in the stadium for the 2019 season. The team is presently homeless following the game. Oakland, California is suing the Raiders because of their move to become the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020.

The team has already begun to explore options for one season. The Raiders could play the 2019 season at AT&T Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants.

They also could play at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California and share the facility with the San Francisco 49ers. The Raiders have even begun to explore options of playing home games in London, England.

The Raiders improved to 4-11 with the win. They are 3-5 at home.

Oakland has won two of its last three games. The loss came to the Cincinnati Bengals with a 30-16 loss on December 16th.

The Broncos fell to 6-9 on the season. They are 3-5 on the road.

Denver has lost its last three games. They have not won since a 24-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on December 2nd.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr went 19 of 26 for 167 yards.

Doug Martin had 21 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Richard had four carries for 11 yards and a touchdown.

Jordy Nelson had seven receptions for 75 yards. Richard had four receptions for 40 yards.

Broncos quarterback Case Keenum went 23 of 37 for 202 yards. He also had two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Phillip Lindsay had 10 carries for 46 yards. He became just the third undrafted free agent to run for 1,000 rushing yards during their rookie season.

Courtland Sutton had six receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown. Tim Patrick had three receptions for 44 yards. DaeSean Hamilton had six receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Oakland had 10 points in the second half. Richard scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. Daniel Carlson also made a 45-yard field goal.

Denver had 14 points in the second half. Keenum hit Hamilton for a seven-yard touchdown reception. Keenum hit Sutton for a 19-yard touchdown reception.

The Raiders led 17-0 at halftime. Harris scored on a 99-yard punt return for a touchdown. Martin also scored on a 24-yard rushing touchdown.

Carlson also made a 43-yard field goal.
