Song kicks game-winning FG, as TCU defeated Cal in Cheez-It Bowl

The Cheez-It Bowl was a turnover fest. Yet, the TCU Horned Frogs defeated the California Golden Bears, 10-7, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Horned Frogs improved to 7-6 on the season. They have won their last three games.

TCU improved to 17-16-1 all-time in Bowl games with the win. They have now won two straight Bowl games.

The Golden Bears fell to 7-6 on the season. They have lost their last two games of the season.

California fell to 11-11-1 all-time in Bowl games with the loss. They had their one-game Bowl win streak snapped with the loss.

Golden Bears quarterback Chase Garbers went 12 of 19 for 93 yards. He had three interceptions.

Christopher Brown Jr. had 14 carries for 57 yards. Nikko Remigio had five receptions for 21 yards.

Horned Frogs quarterback Grayson Muehlstein went 7 of 20 for 27 yards. He had four interceptions.

Sewo Olonilua had 32 carries for 194 yards and a touchdown. Jaelan Austin had one reception for 15 yards.

The Horned Frogs scored all 10 points in the second half and overtime. Jonathan Song made a 27-yard field goal in overtime to win the game.

Olonilua scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter.

The Golden Bears led 7-0 at halftime. Garbers scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter.
