Gators defeat Wolverines for first-time in Peach Bowl

The No. 10 Florida Gators defeated No. 7 Michigan Wolverines in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Saturday afternoon. The Gators won 41-15 over the Wolverines at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Gators improved to 10-3 on the season. They have won their last four games of the season.

Florida has improved to 23-21 all-time in Bowl games. They have won their last two Bowl games.

This is also the Gators first win over the Wolverines. They were previously 0-4 against the Wolverines in Bowl games.

The Wolverines fell to 10-3 on the season, as well. They ended their season on a two-game losing streak.

Michigan fell to 21-26 all-time in Bowl games. They have lost their last three Bowl games.

Gators quarterback Feleipe Franks went 13 of 23 for 173 yards. He had one touchdown pass.

Lamical Perine had six carries for 76 yards and a touchdown. Van Jefferson led the receivers with four receptions for 64 yards. 

Wolverines quarterback Shea Patterson went 22 of 36 for 236 yards. He had one touchdown pass and two interceptions.

Christian Turner had seven carries for 32 yards and a touchdown. Nico Collins had five receptions for 80 yards.

The Gators outscored the Wolverines 28-5 in the second half. Franks hit Perine for a five-yard touchdown reception. Jordan Scarlett had a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Perine scored on a 53-yard rushing touchdown. Chauncey Gardner had a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Wolverines’ Jake Moody made a 26-yard field goal. Khaleke Hudson also scored on a safety.

Florida led 13-10 at halftime. Franks scored on a 20-yard rushing touchdown. Evan McPherson also made two field goals.

He first made a 21-yard field goal. Then, he made a 26 yard field goal.

Michigan’s Patterson hit Peoples-Jones for a nine-yard touchdown reception. Moody also made a 48-yard field goal.
