According to sources, the New York Jets will fire head coach Todd Bowles after Sunday’s finale. His final game as the team’s head coach will come against the New England Patriots.

The team has gone 4-11 on the season. Their last win came on December 9th against the Buffalo Bills.

This is nothing new. His job security has been in question since last season.

We reported a story in November that the team would go in a new direction in 2019 without Bowles.

Bowles has been the team’s head coach since the 2015 season. The 55-year-old Elizabeth, New Jersey native has had three straight losing seasons as the team’s leader.

Following a 10-6 record in 2015, the team has had back-to-back 5-11 records. The team currently has a 4-11 mark and the odds are they will likely fall to 4-12 after losing to the Patriots on Sunday.

Presently, he has a 24-39 record. It could go to 24-40 with a loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

The Jets defeated the Detroit Lions in their season-opener with a 48-17 win on September 10th. Then, the team went on a three-game losing streak.

They lost 20-12 to the Miami Dolphins on September 16th. The team also lost 21-17 to the Cleveland Browns on September 20th on Thursday Night Football.

The team also lost 31-12 to the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 30th.

The Jets won two straight games in October. They won 34-16 over the Denver Broncos on October 7th. The following week, they defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 42-34.

The team then went on a six-game losing streak. The losing streak began with a 37-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on October 21st. The following week, the team lost 24-10 to the Chicago Bears.

The Jets were defeated 13-6 by the Miami Dolphins on November 4th. The team also lost 41-10 to the Buffalo Bills on November 10th.

Following a bye week on November 18th, the team was defeated 27-13 by the Patriots. New York also lost 26-22 to the Tennessee Titans on December 2nd.

The Jets final win of the season came in a 27-23 win over the Bills on December 9th.

New York has lost its last two games. They were defeated 29-22 to the Houston Texans on December 15th. The team also was defeated 44-38 in overtime to the Green Bay Packers on December 23rd.
