We previously reported that the Falcons were expected to fire both coaches.

Sarkisian has been the Falcons Offensive Coordinator the last two seasons. He has been battling questions about his job security for quite some time.

Prior to be hired as the Falcons Offensive Coordinator, the 44-year-old Torrance, California native never worked in the NFL in his coaching career.

The Falcons have had six games, where they scored 30 or more points. On December 16th, the team scored a season-high 40 points against the Arizona Cardinals.

Marquand Manuel has spent the last two seasons as the Falcons Defensive Coordinator. The 39-year-old Miami, Florida native’s unit is allowing 26.1 points per game.

Like Sarkisian, Manuel had no prior experience as Defensive Coordinator before being promoted by Quinn. Manuel also was the Falcons Secondary Coach in 2015 and 2016.

He also was an Assistant Secondary Coach with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. He was the Seahawks Defensive Assistant in 2013.

Manuel began his coaching career with the Seahawks in 2012 as their Assistant Special Teams Coach.
