Los Angeles Lakers living legend Kobe Bryant announces some personal news to begin the New Year. He announced that his wife Vanessa is expected again.
This will be the couple’s fourth child. And it’ll be their fourth girl.
Bryant, 40, and Vanessa, 36, already have three daughters. Natalia is 15, Gianna is 12, while Bianka is two.
“Vanessa and I are beyond excited to announce that we are expecting another #mambacita to go along with Natalia, Gianna and Bianka,” the athlete captioned his Instagram post, a sparkly graphic reading “New Year, New Baby! Baby Mamba on the Way 2019.”
In a 2017 interview with Extra, Bryant said that he wanted to add a son to their family. However, this time around, the couple received their fourth girl. They could always try for a boy once again with a fifth child.
“I hear boys are just walking tornadoes. We’ll see. I think Vanessa wants a boy more than I do,” he told the outlet. “My friends say, ‘It takes a real man to make a boy,’” he said. “I’m like, ‘Dude, it takes a king to make a princess … get in line!’”
The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native spent 19 seasons with the Lakers. He retired from the NBA at 37 following the 2015-16 season.
