In this story, we’ll look back on Joey Logano’s 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. Logano won three races and was the 2018 series champion.
His first win of the season came in Week 10 at Talladega. Logano, driving the Shell/Pennzoil/Autotrader car, led 70 laps and received 58 points in the GEICO 500 win on Sunday, April 29th, 2018, at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama.
His final two wins came in the final four races of the season. He won in Week 33 at Martinsville. Logano, driving the Shell/Pennzoil car, at the First Data 500 on Sunday, October 28th, 2018, at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virginia.

Logano led 309 of the 500 laps in this race. He also received 59 points and six playoff points in the win.
His final win of the season came in Week 36, the season finale, in the Ford EcoBoost 400 on Sunday, November 18th, 2018, at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. Logano, the driver of the Shell/Pennzoil car, led 80 of the 267 laps in the race.
He also had 13 Top 5 finishes. He had an average start of 9.8 and an average finish of 10.7.
In his 36 starts, he completed 95.9% of the laps, as he completed 9,826 of 10,250. He led 934 of those laps, including a season-high 309 at Martinsville in Week 33.

Logano had three DNFs (Did Not Finish). His first DNF came in Week 18 in Daytona, as he left the race in a crash on Lap 53.
He also was involved in another crash in Week 22 at Watkins Glenn on Lap 1. His final DNF came in Week 35 at Phoenix when he left the race on Lap 95 in a crash.
