According to Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, the team has not spoken with safety Earl Thomas, who will be a free agent in March. Thomas has said that if he’s not playing with the Seahawks, he wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys.
Thomas has been out since October with a broken leg. He suffered the injury in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Despite missing the final 12 weeks of the season, Thomas will be one of the top safeties on the free agent market. Carroll said that Thomas was a “great player,” however, he refused to say whether or not the Seahawks would re-sign him.
In his final game of the 2018 season, He had three tackles against the Cardinals. He also had one pass deflection.
Thomas had 22 tackles with three interceptions and five pass deflections on the season. He had two of those interceptions against the Cowboys on September 23rd.
The 29-year-old, who was a 2010 first-round draft pick by the Seahawks, has spent his entire career in Seattle, Washington.
