Former NFL player turned MLB prospect Tim Tebow is officially off the market. The New York Mets prospect recently got engaged to his girlfriend Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
She was the 2017 Miss Universe winner. The 23-year-old is from South Africa.
During the holidays, the two spent time together. She spent Thanksgiving with Tebow and his family.
“Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world,” Tebow posted. “You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
The 31-year-old Makati City, Philippines native spent three seasons in the NFL with the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets. He spent his first two seasons with the Broncos before being traded on March 26th, 2012 to the Jets.
He was traded by the Broncos, along with their 2012 seventh-round draft pick, to the Jets for their 2012 fourth-round draft pick and their 2012 sixth-round draft pick.
As an NFL player, he appeared in 35 games with 16 starts. He went 8-6 as a starter, including a 7-4 mark in 2011.He went 173 of 361 for 2,422 passing yards. He also had 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
