The Baltimore Ravens reached an agreement with head coach John Harbaugh on an extension. The team has not confirmed the extension yet.
Before reaching this new deal, he had one-year left on his contract.
In late December, the Ravens said they were working on an extension for Harbaugh. To an speculation that Harbaugh would leave the team for other opportunities, the team said in a statement he would remain their coach.
Harbaugh guided Baltimore to a 10-6 record during the 2018 season. The Ravens were defeated by The Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card Round.
This was the franchise’s first playoff appearance since the 2014 season.
In his 11-year career, he guided the team to a 104-72 record. He is also 10-6 in the playoffs, including a 2012 Super Bowl Championship.
When the Ravens won the Super Bowl, the team went 4-0 in the playoffs, before defeating his brother Jim Harbaugh and his former San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 56-year-old Perrysburg, Ohio native had his first 10-win season with the team since 2014 when the team also went 10-6. In his 11 seasons, he guided the team to six seasons with 10 or more wins.
His best season as the team’s head coach is a 12-4 mark, which happened in 2010 and 2011.
