Golden Knights ship Hunt, pick to the Wild in trade

The Vegas Golden Knights acquired a fifth-round draft pick in the 2019 NHL Draft from the Minnesota Wild. In exchange, the Wild are receiving defenseman Brad Hunt and a sixth-round draft pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.

The Golden Knights will receive the better pick of the fifth-round draft pick that the Wild owns. The pick will either be their own, or the Washington Capitals fifth-round draft pick, which was previously acquired in a trade.

The 30-year-old Maple Ridge, British Columbia native will be playing for his fifth team in the NHL. Besides playing for the Golden Knights, he also played for the Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators, and the St. Louis Blues.

He played in the most games in his career with one team with the Golden Knights. He appeared in 58 games with five goals and 20 assists for 25 points. He also had a -2 +/- and a 8 PIM.

This season, he appeared in 13 games with two goals and five assists for seven points. He also had a 3 +/- and 2 PIM.

His final game with the Golden Knights came in a win against the Ducks. He had an assist for one point on Jan. 4.

In his career, he has appeared in 91 games. He has seven career goals with 27 assists for 34 points. He also had a -13 +/- and 12 PIM.
