Brittany Force finally has a new sponsor for the 2019 season. It was announced on Friday morning that she will drive the Advance Auto Parts Top Fuel Dragster this season.
Force takes over the Advance Auto Parts brand that previously was a sponsor for her sister Courtney. On Thursday morning, the blonde pilot stepped away from drag racing.
The only Force daughter left in racing will show off her new digs at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Pomona, Calif. This race is Feb. 8th through 10th.
“I’m really excited to start this season teaming up with Advance Auto Parts,” she said. “They’ve been such a great partner to John Force Racing the past two years. They exceeded expectations when working with Courtney, building her as their brand ambassador, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.
“I’m looking forward to getting them their first win in a dragster and ultimately going after a championship. Off track, I look forward to creating new relationships and being involved with everything this great company has to offer.”
Advance Auto Parts replaces Monster Energy, which left the team after the season. In 2018, Force piloted the dragster with Advance Auto Parts on it for select races.
In 24 races in 2018, Force had a 17-23 round record. She won one race and had one runner-up.
She won the NHRA SpringNationals in Baytown, Texas in April as she defeated Terry McMillen in the final round. Force went 3.762, while McMillen went 3.818.
Then, in Charlotte 2, she lost to Steve Torrence in the final round in the Countdown to the Championship. Torrence — who swept the entire Countdown to the Championship races — went 3.705 to Force’s 3.708.
She finished fifth in the Countdown to the Championship one year after winning the 2017 Top Fuel Championship.
