According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown ‘hasn’t closed the door’ on a return. Yet, all of the speculation is that the Steelers will move on this off-season.
The 30-year-old reportedly has a ‘steady dialogue’ with members of the organization. The franchise also hasn’t granted Brown, or his agent, any permission to seek a trade just yet.
Yet, when they open up that opportunity, it is expected to be flood gates, as there will be heavy interest. He has been linked to the San Francisco 49ers and other teams.
In addition, there was also an Instagram photo that he posted in a 49ers jersey with advice from living legend. Jerry Rice.
The Miami, Florida native last played for the Steelers against the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 23, 2018. He had 14 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns in that game.
Late in the season, there were reported that he clashed with Ben Roethlisberger on the Wednesday in practice before the season-finale. That led Brown to miss practices leading up to that finale, before leaving at halftime of that final regular season game.
Brown started 15 games of the season. He had 104 receptions for 1,297 yards with a career-high 15 touchdowns.
His previous high for touchdowns was 13 touchdowns during the 2014 season.
