Falcons re-sign Bruce Carter

The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed linebacker Bruce Carter. He has signed a one-year deal. 

The 30-year-old Havelock, North Carolina native was in his first season with the Falcons in 2018. He appeared in 11 games.

Carter had 21 tackles in those 11 games. 

In his final two games of the season, he did not register a single statistic. He had two tackles on Dec. 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. 

His best game of the season came on Nov. 4 when he had seven tackles against the Washington Redskins. No other game had he had more than three tackles in a game.

The 11 games were the fewest he had with one team in his career. He previously played 14 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2015 season. 

Before joining the Falcons, he spent two seasons with the New York Jets. He had 27 appearances, including one start, during his tenure there. 

Carter began his career with the Dallas Cowboys. He played four seasons, where he had 49 appearances, including 32 starts.
