The Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball team announced on Saturday morning that star Zion Williamson will not play against the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. This is his first missed game since his injury.
He suffered a mild knee sprain on Wednesday night against the North Carolina Tar Heels. Williamson was injured when he blew out his show just 30-plus seconds into the best rivalry in college basketball.
Williamson is listed as day-to-day with his injury.

The No. 1 ranked Blue Devils will wait until Tuesday to make a decision on Williamson. They are on against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday night.
Their next game is at home on March 2nd against the Miami (Florida) Hurricanes. The Blue Devils host the Hurricanes at 4 pm that day.
Williamson — who is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft — is the second-leading scorer on the team. He is traveling R.J. Barrett, who is averaging 23.1 points per game.
He is averaging 21.6 points per game in 26 starts in 28.2 minutes per contest. He is also averaging 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.
His best game of the season came in a loss to the Orange on Jan. 14. He had 35 points in 44 minutes.
