Michael Beasley, who recently signed with Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association, posted a cryptic message on his Instagram. He is struggling with the loss of his mother.
His mother passed away after a battle with an illness right before Christmas. The 30-year-old Cheverly, Maryland native took time off to be with his mother, as she battled cancer.

“Honestly, I’ve grown to hate so much and so many people since you’ve left,” Beasley wrote in the Instagram post. “I can’t seem to shake the feeling of being alone, you don’t know how bad you hurt me mommy. I know that’s selfish, but I don’t like it here anymore…. I’ll see you soon I promise #Day68″
He signed on China on Feb. 20 after being released by the Los Angeles Clippers. The Los Angeles Lakers traded Beasley and Ivica Zubac to the Clippers for Mike Muscala on Feb. 7. Two days later, Beasley was released.
He had signed a one-year deal with the Lakers on July 23rd, 2018. He missed 13 games from Dec. 8 through Jan. 2, before returning against the New York Knicks on Jan. 4.
Beasley last played in the NBA on Feb. 5 against the Indiana Pacers. He had zero points in 12 minutes and 13 seconds on the court.
