Smith has received a three-year deal worth $41.25 million. He will receive $24 million in guaranteed money.

The former 34th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft has never missed a start in his career. Smith — who will be 26-years-old in June — gives the Buccaneers a cornerstone lineman, who will be with the team for the foreseeable future.

In addition, it gives Smith time to improve under new Bucs head coach Bruce Arians and his coaching staff.

The 25-year-old Hempstead, New York native has started 64 straight games in his career. He has played the last four seasons with the franchise.
