“Basically, guys, I quit. I know they’re talking about a suspension and all this other nonsense. I’m out of there. I’m not doing this shit no more,” Irving said, blunt in hand.

Irving has been suspended three times in his four-year career. The violations stemmed from violating the league’s drug policy.

He also referred to marijuana as “medicine.” He also said “blunts are pills.”

“We got this opioid thing going on and I’m prescribed all that bullshit, and I just think it’s bullshit that we’ve got to deal with that policy,” he said. “Everyone thinks it’s about smoking weed. It’s not about smoking weed.

“It’s much bigger than that. Much, much bigger. Hell, I have concussions every day. I get to see around the office how that f—s your head up and I feel it.”

The 25-year-old San Diego, California native has spent the last four seasons with the team. Irving played in just two games during the season.

He had four tackles, including two tackles for a loss, and two quarterback hits. He also had a sack.

In his four-year career with the Cowboys, Irving has appeared in 37 games with 10 starts. He had 56 tackles, including 17 tackles for a loss and 30 quarterback hits.

He also had 12.5 sacks with five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 12 pass deflections.
