2019 Express vs. Legends Week 5 preview

The Memphis Express play the Atlanta Legends on Sunday afternoon. This is a battle of the two worst teams in the Eastern Conference.

The game will kick off at 4 pm EST at Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The game will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.

Both teams have a 1-3 record. Yet, the Legends have been the worst of the two teams, as they have a -59 in net points.

The Express have a -29 in net points.

Memphis won their last game against the San Diego Fleet on March 2nd. Prior to the win over the Fleet, the Express lost their first three games of the season.

Like Memphis, Atlanta also won their first game of their season last weekend. The Legends defeated the Arizona Hotshots on March 3rd.

Before the win over the Hotshots, the team had a three-game losing streak.

Legends quarterback Matt Simms is sixth in the league in passing. He has gone 61 for 102 for 647 yards. He had two touchdowns and six interceptions.

Simms is not expected to start in this contest. The team is expected to start Aaron Murray, who has gone 24 of 40 for 292 yards. He also had one interception.

Lawrence Pittman leads the Legends in rushing. He had 19 carries for 82 yards.

Malachi Jones has eight receptions for 145 yards. He also has a touchdown.

Express quarterback Zach Mettenberger is eighth in the league in passing. Mettenberger has gone 27 of 37 for 294 yards. He also has three touchdowns.

Zac Stacy leads the Express with 62 carries for 232 yards. He also has a touchdown.

Reece Horn leads the team with 12 receptions for 158 yards.
